Seven Iranian directors to serve on jury at Canada festival

Seven Iranian filmmakers have been selected to sit on the jury of the 11th Reel Youth Film Festival (RYFF) in Canada.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Monday that Mostafa Mehraban, Ali Rostamian, Mahta Hosseini, Sepehr Basirmand, Mohammad Qane-Fard, and Reyhaneh and Bahareh Ainollahi were named as jurors for the upcoming edition of the festival.

The jurors are slated to judge the participating films online.

According to the report, the 11th edition of Reel Youth Film Festival will take place on September 30-October 15.

The festival screens short films made by youth from across the world. The RYFF “empowers young artists to express their creativity, entertain audiences, and share their visions for a more just and sustainable world”, the event’s website reads.
